PAYMENT TERMS

Like many businesses, InterDecor has been closed since

23rd March 2020, in compliance of HM Government's

lockdown instructions.  I have been shielding for

the past four months but InterDecor will recommence

trading with effect from Monday 3rd August 2020,

starting with customers whose bookings were placed

on hold when lockdown was first announced.

 

Our work practices have been reviewed, to ensure

strict compliance with 'COVID Safe' guidelines

set out by HM Government e.g. social distancing, PPE,

hand washing and hygiene etc.  The risk of Coronavirus

is still very much evident and the health and safety of our

customers, ourselves and our respective families

will always be a top priority.

 

  After 14th September 2020 the

'Rule of 6' will also apply i.e. two decorators and

no more than four others in the household in

which we are working.

On completion of the agreed work, you will receive a detailed

Invoice, showing the total cost of labour, plus an itemised list

of all materials used and their cost.  My preferred means of

settlement is via online banking (assuming that you use this

facility) and my invoice will include my bank details to

facilitate this.  If you don't have the use of online banking,

then you can present my Invoice to you bank and instruct

them to make a bank transfer on your behalf.  They will

complete the transfer for you - using my account details

shown on the invoice.  However, if you prefer, payment can

instead be made by cheque, cash or a combination of both.

 

For work exceeding five days duration, I may seek your

agreement to settle interim invoices for payment of labour

in stages, e.g. at the end of each week, or on completion

of individual rooms.  The cost of materials will be carried

over until all work has been completed and itemised on

the final invoice.  In such instances, terms will be agreed

between us - before the commencement of any work.

My business currently operates below the threshold

required to register with HM Revenue and Customs for

VAT.  You will therefore be pleased to note that you

will NOT be charged VAT on my labour However,

my invoice detailing the cost of all materials used

will include the VAT charged to me by the retailer

from whom I purchased those materials.
